Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you have more than one system with this configuration?
A: Yes, for the majority of systems we sell we can probably build as many as you need. Orders may take longer to fulfill depending upon the size of the order.
Q: Does the computer have a Dell warranty?
A: Unless the description says otherwise, most systems do not come with any Dell warranty. The system may or may not have a Dell service tag associated with it. Most computers come with a SCSI Stuff warranty that ranges from 90 days to 1 year or longer.
Q: What condition is the computer in?
A: The majority of computers we sell are SCSISTUFF refurbished. Components may consist of new and refurbished parts which are tested and work without defects. Most computers may have some minor scuffs and scrapes. All defects are purely cosmetic and do not effect the performance of the computer. Due to the quantity we sell, it is impossible to take pictures of every system that we sell & we can't give you the details on every defect a system has. Please keep in mind that these are refurbished systems, they are not brand new, however they are built to function like one.
Q: What does SCSI Stuff refurbished mean?
A: All of our systems are customized by knowledgeable technicians to ensure you get the highest quality computer system. All components are inspected and tested for problems and replaced if any problems are found. All systems undergo a rigorous software diagnostic process which test all components for a minimum of 12 hours. These steps help ensure you get a computer system that is ready to go.
Q: I just started up my computer and it will not boot to windows.
A: Unless you bought a copy of Microsoft Windows from us, most of our systems ship without an operating system. You'll have to install an operating system yourself. We recommend Windows XP
or Windows 7. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative there are other free options such as the Ubuntu operating system. Please keep in mind, we do not provide support for your operating system.
Q: I keep getting the 'Blue Screen of Death' when booting my newly installed operating system, what should I do?
A: Your OS may or may not support your new hardware in the given state and your drivers need to be updated. After going to support.dell.com, select 'Drivers Home' and then the model of your system and operating system that is installed. The most common driver error is under your hard drive "SATA Drives" labeled matrix storage manager. During startup, to install the drivers, hit F6 and boot to a USB key with the new drivers on it. If this doesn't do the trick, make sure that the error message on the Blue Screen matches which drivers are invalid.
Q: How long will it take for my computer to arrive?
A: Most of the systems are sent out within a day or two of payment. The transit time varies depending upon your location on the globe. The majority of packages take from 3-5 days to get to the customer. You should receive an email from FedEx with your tracking number. If the email is not in your inbox directly, please check your spam filter, as some email clients may flag automatically sent email as spam.

What is a SCSISTUFF Refurbished System? |
Refurbished products cannot be sold as new products in the US, which is why they are relabeled as refurbished or refreshed units even if they are good-as-new (if, for example, the unit was returned for some reason unrelated to the product itself, i.e., the customer changed his mind about the color). Refurbished items may or may not have scratches, dents or other forms of cosmetic damage which do not affect the performance of the unit.
SCSISTUFF Refurbished Systems are Dell systems which have undergone our process of repairing the system to function and perform correctly.
All of our equipment undergoes first a physical inspection process to ensure that the products are mechanically sound. The system is then rebuilt with fully tested parts and updated with the most recent firmware. Further testing is then performed on the systems using detailed diagnostics software to make sure no problems exist with the hardware. Minor blemishes are removed and the system is packed and sent out to you, the customer.
This stringent process is carried out on each and every computer and server we send out to ensure that the only thing that separates a SCISTUFF Refurbished computer from a new computer are a few minor aesthetic differences and the bargin price.
While we hope to differentiate ourselves on price, our excellent sales staff and support team help to make the difference when it comes to computer buying. Whatever your computer needs, chances are SCSISTUFF has it. Give us at a call or
