The PowerEdge^TM1955 is a high density blade server that is the replacement for the 1855 blade. 1955 - Blade chassis with a new motherboard supporting the Dempsey or Woodcrest Xeon dual or quad core processors.

For upgrades from an 1855 chassis.
Requirements - DRAC firmware must be upgraded.
                         Power supplies must be upgraded to 2100 watts.
                         If you have the 4 x 1200 watt power supply installed, you are limited to a max
                           of 6 1955 blades.

1. Scsistuff 90 day warranty ( we offer up to a three year warranty)
    This warranty is provided direclty through Scsistuff
    Blades are covered by a next business Scsistuff warranty.
    Specified chassis parts are covered by a next business day warranty.
      This covers DRAC, ethernet, fibre, and backplane components.
    Physical replacement of a failed chassis will ship via ground ( 5 days).

Shipping of PowerEdge 1855
Servers are shipped in original DELL packaging.
We recommend removing the blades prior to installing the chassis into a rack to reduce the weight. A minimum of 4 persons will be required to lift a full chassis weight of 260 pounds.
Weights:
Empty chassis - 160 pounds
Full chassis with 10 blades - 280 pounds
Due to the heavy weight of this system, the only method of shipment is truck freight.

We ship our systems with an ethernet switch in Slot 1 & 2, digiatal KVM, DRAC slot.
Slots 3 & 4 are empty.

Daughter card ( either one but not both).
    All 10 blades must have same type of card.
    You cannot install a fibre daughter card in 5 blades and a Ethernet daughter card in the other 5 blades.
    All blades must use the same type of daughter card!!!!!
Gigabit Ethernet - requires either Ethernet pass thru or switch in slots 3 and/or 4.
Fibre channel interface - requires either fibre channel pass thru or switch in slots 3 and/or 4.
Memory - up to six DIMM slots available. Up to 12 gigs max.
