PS4110 series

  • One size chassis is available with the following configurations
      2U 2.5" - twenty four 2.5" SAS drives
        PS4110X  - twenty four 10K drives ( 300G, 600G, 900G)
        PS4110XV - twenty four 24 x 300Gb 15K
      2U 2.5" - twenty four 2.5" NL 7200 rpm SAS drives
        PS4110E  - twelve 3.5" drives (1 , 2, 3 Tb) 
  • Supported drives: All drives require unique Equallogic firmware.
     SAS 15K - 300 Gb
     SAS 10K - 300, 600, 900 Gb
     SATA - None
     NL-SAS - 1, 2, 3 Tb 7,200 rpm
     NL-SAS SED - Does not work
     SSD - Does not work
  • Version 6 firmware and higher support RAID levels 6, 10, 50
      Editors note:  RAID 5 removed in order to increase reliability
      3, 4 Tb NL-SAS drives - RAID 50 is not a RAID option
    Firmware upgrade path thru version 9 series is assured
  • 2 max members in one group
  • Dimensions:   2U 2.5" chassis - 3.4 x 17.6 x 21.5 inches, weight 58 pounds with 24 drives installed

  • Standardized chassis
    PS4110 series - 2 x type 17 controllers
    2 x 700 watt power supplies. Autoswitching 120- 240 Volts AC, 50-60 hertz
      Each 24 drive chassis requires 3 amps at 120 volts ( 5 amps required for cold start up)
      Backplane: 24 3.5" drives with Equallogic trays supporting specified size SAS drives

PS4110 controller

  • Type 17 (gold)
  • 1 x 10 Gb RJ45
    1 x 10Gb SFP+
    1 x management port RJ45
  • 1 x serial port DB9
  • 1 IP address needed per chassis for port eth0  (only one 10Gb port is active)
    Only one controller is active at a time.  The other controller is purely a standby until failover occurs.
    Controllers will fail over from primary to secondary, corresponding IP addresses switch automatically.



PS4100 series

  • One size chassis is available with the following configurations
      2U 2.5" - 24 x 2.5" SAS drives
        PS4100X  - 24 10K drives ( 300G, 600G, 900G)
        PS4100XV - 24 x 300Gb 15K
      2U 2.5" - 24 x 2.5" NL 7200 rpm SAS drives
